Many HVAC companies advertise 24-hour service but route after-hours calls to an answering service that takes your information and forwards it to an on-call technician — who may or may not respond the same night. At LC Heating & Air, 24-hour service means a technician answers the phone directly at (323) 970-3113, gets your location and symptoms, and dispatches to your home. We don't use answering services for emergency calls.
### After-Hours Pricing Transparency
An after-hours service fee of $89 applies to evening, weekend, and holiday calls. This is disclosed upfront when you call — you know the total service call cost before we dispatch. Our diagnostic and repair pricing does not change based on the time of day. We don't charge double or triple for emergency calls — the $89 after-hours fee is the full premium above regular pricing.

Is (323) 970-3113 actually answered after hours?
Yes. This is a direct line to our technicians — not a call center or answering service. Call at 2 AM, on Christmas, on a Sunday during the Super Bowl — a technician will answer. We understand the difference between a company that advertises 24-hour service and one that actually delivers it.
How much does after-hours HVAC service cost?
After-hours calls include an $89 service fee on top of standard diagnostic and repair pricing. This fee is disclosed when you call — before we dispatch. Our repair pricing doesn't change based on the time of call: if a capacitor replacement costs $200 during business hours, it costs $200 + $89 service fee after hours, not $500.
What HVAC services are available after hours?
All of them. Emergency AC repair, emergency furnace and heating repair, CO safety investigations, heat pump failures, mini split emergencies, and thermostat emergencies. We carry the most common parts for same-night repair. If a part needs to be ordered, we stabilize the system for the night and return first thing in the morning.
What is your response time for after-hours HVAC calls?
We target 60–90 minutes for after-hours emergency calls in our primary service area (Hollywood, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, and surrounding communities). For locations farther from our service hubs, we give you an honest ETA when you call.
Do you handle CO alarms after hours?
Yes — CO alarms are the highest priority emergency we respond to. If your CO detector is alarming and you believe it is related to a gas heating appliance, call us immediately after calling 911. We have technicians equipped for after-hours CO investigations and combustion analysis to determine the source of CO production.
Should I reset my circuit breaker if my HVAC system trips it after hours?
You can reset it once. If it trips again immediately or shortly after reset, don't reset it again — call us. A breaker that trips repeatedly indicates an electrical fault in the HVAC system. Repeatedly resetting a breaker with an underlying fault can damage the breaker itself and the wiring. We diagnose the cause before recommending any further resets.
Can you repair any HVAC brand on an after-hours emergency call?
We carry emergency parts for all major brands — Carrier, Lennox, Trane, Rheem, Goodman, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, and others. We can repair any brand's equipment on an emergency basis. For less common or discontinued models, we may need to fabricate a temporary solution or order a specific part — but we'll handle the emergency situation and communicate clearly about any follow-up needed.
Is there anything I should do before calling for an after-hours HVAC emergency?
Before calling: check the thermostat settings and batteries (a dead thermostat battery is a surprisingly common emergency cause), check the circuit breaker panel for the HVAC circuit, replace the air filter if you know it's been many months since the last change (a completely blocked filter can shut down the system).
